When his superior orders him to gain Amelia’s trust through seduction, Marcus starts to question his mission and his feelings for the beautiful woman he has watched over since her birth.
Amelia has gone from one bad relationship to another, so when a gorgeous guy moves in next door looking like Mr Right, she hopes he doesn’t turn out to be another black knight in disguise. But there’s more to Marcus than meets the eye, and when he rescues her from three demonic men, Amelia is thrust into his nightmarish world. On the run from demonic angels and the Devil himself, aided by warrior angels and their amazing women, Marcus and Amelia discover a love that will last forever.
When the strength of that love is put to the test, will Marcus and Amelia win their fight for survival against the odds or will they lose in a deadly eternal game between Heaven and Hell?

My Thoughts:

Her Guardian Angel is book four in Felicity Heaton’s Her Angel romance series. Can you read this without reading the other books in the series? Yes, you can,  all of the stories in the series stand alone, joined by character and world only, and do not need to be read in order.

The first half of the book was a little bit boring to me. You know the same old introduction scene where the hero and heroine first meet (although they already met, they were neighbours), then going for a few dates talking and thinking and talking and.. you get the picture. But I did love the scenes set in Heaven. Marcus, as a Guardian Angel, had to report to his superior about his mission: Amelia.

Now, the second half is a completley different story. I freakin' loved it!!! Not because of the action scenes (there wasn't too much), but because of the lot of different, unique, outstanding characters, because of the whole world which is not black and white, you never know who's on your side, what's going to be their next move, we expect the so called good guys to be GOOD and the bad guys to be BAD, but both side can suprise you. The hierarchy of Heaven is fascinating. There are various kind of classes, such as Guardian Angels, Hunters, Mediators, etc. distinguished by their armor's and wing's color. The storyline was incredible. I didn't count how many times I said "WOW" out loud, but until this point only three authors (Kenyon, Ione and Moning) could surprise me with so many totally unexpected twists and turns. Now Felicity officially joined to that crew.

Although I didn't really fall in love with Marcus & Amelia, and their relationship, the final twist raised it to an entirely new level.

The side characters - to me - were more interesting than the main characters. I'm planning to read Taylor's and Einar's book ASAP! And thank god I already had Veiron's book (which is book 5). Why am I always attracted to the bad boys? In this case one of the Hell's Angels. Don't miss his book!

Favourite character(s): Veiron, Taylor
Favourite scene(s): When Veiron tells the truth about the game Heaven and Hell are playing.
Favorite quote(s):
" There was no way that he was going to let anything happen to her. Even if her survival meant the end of the world as they knew it, even if her existence beyond this point caused a catastrophe, he wasn’t going to let her die. He couldn’t allow it. Not even if it was Heaven’s decree. "

Overall: It was a great book with some of the mosts suprising twist I've ever read, an excellent sotryline set in a pehonemenal world.
